Our Story
DESHU (deh-shoo) was born from two sisters’ love for fashion, travel, and the feeling of summer. We were born and raised in Brooklyn, but our summers were split between beaches in New York and the beaches of Albania, experiences that shaped our love for swimwear, the water, and life in between. That feeling followed us to places like St. Lucia, Tulum, Rio de Janeiro, and the Amalfi Coast, where we continued collecting inspiration from the energy, style, and spirit of each destination.
Our first collection, launched in July 2022, was inspired by our obsession with astrology in our early twenties, guessing people’s signs, asking what time they were born, and reading into every little detail. It felt like the most honest place to begin. Since then, we’ve been intentional about creating statement pieces, swimwear that feels exciting to wear and memorable enough to live beyond a single summer. The ones you pack first. The bikini you always reach for.
DESHU comes from the Albanian phrase meaning “to undress,” inspired by our roots and the spirit behind the brand. To us, DESHU represents confidence, femininity, freedom, and feeling completely at home in your own skin.
